As Bemusednewt says - go to Google Maps. From the link given you can just put in a postcode and it will find the place. You can do the same in UK, but not much is uploaded in UK. Many big cities are. It is good for looking around London. I found a good use for Google Street view this week when I had a visitor coming for the first time from UK.
