   12 years ago. I rent cars in Cancun for about three months out of the year. I need to have liability insurance (Very important in MX). I can buy a one year liability policy from Sanborn's, $100,000 coverage (Vs the car co's $50,000 coverage) for about $180/yr. This is HUGELY better than the $13-$15 a day charges the rental companies usually want.
