Palace elite membership. 10 years ago. I purchased a elite membership in May for about $16K and received two free weeks at the palace resorts plus one at LeBanc. I now find out I can purchase a week at the resort on line for what I'll have to pay as a member. The value of the free weeks is only about $8k, so this seems like a bad deal.

Joleen2, thanks for the info on points expiring. We are Staying at RPM in October and booked through Riu Class. We saved $232 USD using points for a 5 night stay compared to the regular rate. Any Loyalty program is only worth it if you are repeat guess.
Answer 1 of 30: While looking at rates, ive been seeing that the TripAdvisor plus membership offers great deals for certain resorts. I’m talking savings of about $800 compared to other sites..sounds like a great deal but thinking it’s too good to be true?
