Watch out for this and other rental car companies. They do not tell you about 2 bridges ( one is the SR520) outside of the city that have tolls. You can not physically pay them when crossing, they bill the registration info, Payless sent me a "violation" ticket for crossing in one of their cars. The toll was only $4.11, the fine was $25.00.
9. Re: Payless car rental - MCO. 11 years ago. We have used Payless many times in Orlando. The last time was in June when we got an excellent rate of $88 total price for 5 day rental. When you land go to the baggage claim area and use the courtesy phone. (You cannot miss them) There is a button for Payless and they answer promptly.
I reserved my economy car online, I was looking at the economy at 7.00 a day or the midsize for 10.00 a day. I opted to reserve the economy. At the desk the customer service agent satiated that the economy car was basically a POS and said the mid size cars are so much better and only 10.00 a day.
I knew that the up sell was mandatory vehicle insurance and I expected it. Last year I came to CR. Had a larger 4x4 and my bill total was $144.98 for eight days. This was with SIXT Car Rental. My trip this time was for 9 days and my total cost was $505.71. Of course they are not going to quote you a final price when you reserve the vehicle online.
Answer 1 of 19: I did write a short review, but I just wanted to let people on this forum know that we had a terrible experience with them. I wouldn't rent from then again in any city.
Answer 41 of 52: I normally rent through Priceline when I fly into Tampa. This time I tried an off location car rental agency - Payless Car Rental. It was a mistake on my part. If you look on google, you can see all of the poor reviews for this rental car...
