Lol SWT, yes I just want to get the camper safely parked and then explore the area on the trike!! And 441 is definitely out of the question! Have crossed it many times (without a camper) and usually no problem at all, but a few years back we did have a terrifying experience with fog so thick that we literally couldn't see the side of the road.

Using I-70 across Colorado until it intersects with I-25 was an easy non stress route. After reaching Cheyenne we headed west on I-80 where we took 191 north from Rock Springs through Grand Tetons and Jackson. Entering Yellowstone using the south entrance we headed to West Yellowstone where we parked at the Grizzly RV. We did day trips from ...

  4. Hwy 89 for large RV now and other questions regarding roads ...

You will have to go the long way via the 89 & 2. I am not sure about the 49 because of the length of your RV and the tow car. Its a short section of road but its curvy with un protected drop offs. Its also not in the best of condition....we drove it July 10th. So best bet is to take the 89 to Browning and catch the 2 there.

I'll just add that there is continuing road construction on the section between Norris Junction and the Mammoth area on the west side of the Upper Loop. The east side goes over Dunraven Pass so is a bit more winding.

  7. Hwy 12 in an RV - Utah Forum - Tripadvisor

    4. Re: Hwy 12 in an RV. 16 years ago. Large RVs drive UT12 all the time but I can't imagine it would be much fun in a 37 footer, certainly it couldn't stop most places. Drive the car south form Torrey to Boulder then down the Burr Trail to the end of Long Canyon (you'll know when you get there).

The climb was steady and slow with not a lot of turns. The descent was long but I thought for the most part pretty straight.

2 reviews. East entrance traveling towing rv. 3 years ago. Thinking of entering Yellowstone from Cody, taking the east entrance and making our way to Grant Village. Looking for information about any problems with this route. I read there were a few tunnels but didn’t see any height restrictions or cautions.
