Has anybody had problems with Avis car rental in San Diego Airport? When I returned my car, there was some loose/dry dirt on the floors (something that would take me 10 minutes or less to vacuum), and they charged me $250!! Unbelievable! True highway robbery. And when I complained, they just gave me the run around.

If the inside is dirty, they can charge $250.00. Ten minutes of vacuuming seems like there was more than a little dirt.

"Told me a bunch of untruths regarding gas service option, so be careful if you choose them." The US car rental business can be awfully sleazy. If you deal with a counter agent at pretty much any US car rental company, they'll try to upsell you to a more expensive car or trick you into accepting unnecessary insurance or a fuel service option.

The easiest way to get to Culver Avis cheaply from SM is probably to walk down to Venice Beach and then take the Culver City number 1 bus, or the metro 33 bus. But an Uber or Lyft would probably be 10-12 bucks. Culver City bus will drop you at Washington/Sepulveda a block from Avis. It's a 22 min bus ride and $1
