    I returned from our trip to discover the AVIS airport rental in France had voided my oteoaid contract and arbitrarily charge my credit card 1,600 Euros for returning the car 1 hour late, when the late fee printed in the original invoice was 91.25 Euros per hour. I was told in August 8th I had to send an email to file a complaint.

    The cars exterior was not washed and the interior needed vacuuming. No one at the counter could help me and they referred me to customer service. I did not get reimburse for the cost and replacement for the new cabin filter. As a National Car Executive member I thought I would give Avis a shot. I made a mistake. The counter staff was slow.

    I also had a great experience with Avis. I managed to establish a great contact via email with an Avis customer service agent that did an excellent job of explaining my coverage and cost. I think the cost is way too high but that is the price you pay to drive a decent size automatic car with full coverage.

    Hello, yes I had exactly the same problem on the 20th June this year at Faro airport and Avis. I disputed it and their claim was held up but they at over estimated the charge (as they had written on the form damaged handle, when it was just the lock), something I picked up when disputing at the airport avis, but told I was nit picking and trying to be difficult.
