Both gas & electric use water pressure to start the heating process. We have a low-pressure gas system & it still struggles on weekends. May be worse in or near the city centre. Too low a pressure results in either no heating or overheating and thrn if too hot and you add cold water it bay switch off alyogether - bit of a juggling act.
