Subtract the cost of airport transportation alone and your cost comes down even further. There is so much to see and do beyond Waikiki on Oahu.

   7 years ago. uber operates *heavily* on Oahu. It is not always cheaper than a cab, esp if you hit their infamous surge pricing. There have been a LOT of issues with it. I'd consider renting a car, if you are willing. Many, many folks do fine driving on the other side, and you may find it easier than you think.

The hotel sites that offer AAA discounts have a place where you select AAA rate which is about 15% when booking online or will give the discount when showing up on the day.
