Just to be clear, I am an experienced renter and have rented from Thrifty and Dollar (they are the same company) dozens of times.

Just to be clear I own a property near Orlando and I have rented a car down there at least 20+ times - I am well aware that the shady / smaller car rental companies often (or always) try and trick you into upsells.
Hello, I will be visiting Salt Lake City, UT next week from 11/14/23 to 11/18/23. It appears that Thrifty and Dollar car rentals at SLC are in my budget. I notice that Thrifty car rental is over $100 lower than Dollar.car rental for the same car size and the same location (SLC).

3. Re: Car hire without a credit card. 14 years ago. We always use Thrifty/Dollar and just state no credit card. We are now on their system saying no credit card and we now never get asked at any airport. Did once get an email from Dollar stating that a $300 cash deposit may be required but was never asked for.
