12 years ago. Save. I rented a mid size SUV at Phoenix Sky for $13.00 per day in my husbands name through Priceline. I then signed up for Hertz Gold through AAA in my husbands name. I just called Hertz and because we used Priceline, we are not able to use the Hertz Gold perks like adding a second driver (myself) or skipping the rental line.
Hertz could not match the reservation on my membership number as there was no reservation. The reason for using a 3rd party was time pressure. Didn’t have time to go through easy provider individually & whilst on the road wasn’t able to (even if I had thought of it) call hertz direct to check - which would kind of defeated the whole point ...

If not contact them to be sure that the reservation has been accepted. If you only made it today, wait until tomorrow and check again.

Not sure if this assists, but l have always found that when booking through a third party (ie a tour package), all entitlements and perks with companies like Hilton, Sheraton, Hertz etc (except for airlines miles) become nullified.
Today Autoslash presented a fantastic rate for 14day intermediate car with Hertz-$380, including fees. Unfortunately, it was pay now, but I did it (first time) since can cancel. I logged into Hertz with my Gold account and then it seems like they let me link my Autoslash reservation using the Hertz confirmation number Autoslash provided.
You can check in on line as soon as you make your reservation. It just means that you enter all your details ( licence number etc) so that it is in the system and the document you print out has a bar code on it which is scanned at the desk. Report inappropriate content. 2.
The North Bergen rental depot was most likely a franchisee rather than a full Hertz location, and while the main Hertz website doesn't make any distinction, and doesn't notify you which type you are using, I have noticed the fine print in the contract can be different, when you check it and compare. I don't know what your contract says, of course.
