Nexus is a good option for those living on the USA / Canada border; otherwise, the $50 saving is not much of a savings if the interview requires a visit to the USA / Canada border. I signed up for both initially but Global Entry renewed prior to Nexus thus eliminating the option for both Nexus and Global Entry. Timing is everything.
