Marshall’s which is a local company located in the auto rental strip plaza steps from GCM terminal would be my first choice given our Initial experience with them this past July. Have preciously also been happy with rentals from Avis and Hertz there.

I have booked a car rental at the Kona airport with Budget and now I see a better price with either Thrifty or Dollar. BUT i see all of these companies get really bad reviews on Trip Advisor for this location.

   Enterprise, Alamo and National all owned by Enterprise Holdings. Enterprise is their insurance replacement brand that also dabbles at airports. Alamo is their budget/casual traveler brand. National is their business travel brand and is the best of the three, nicest cars, best prefered renter program at the airport etc.

   The car rental was available as promised. No problem driving into Northern Ireland. Purchasing extra car insurance was optional and NOT mandatory like some other agencies require. No problems with the car. Everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend over some other vendors. Date of travel: April 2023.
