You complete OLCI as normal and then select send the boarding pass to a phone option. You then open it and it shows a QR code which is held to the scanners at the airport. Many airlines have specific apps which are geared up to issuing QR boarding passes. Pretty efficient system IMO.
When I used the QR-Ticket, I tried to use the staff-attended gate because I get anxious about using the automatic ticket gates, but the staff member directed me to the ticket gate equipped with a QR Code reader. If you prefer to use the staff-attended gate, I recommend receiving a paper ticket at the station.

Most likely whatever app you’re using is not set up to read the airline boarding pass. Report inappropriate content.
