Check to make sure it also covers the complete loss of the car (due to theft) and car damage due to vandalism, weather, etc. Also make sure if it covers tires, and windows/windshield.

Presumably, you will have travel insurance that covers you other insurance needs in the USA. Some of the problem with car rental companies and insurances for renting are that each company calls them by different names, and even within the same company the name can be different, depending on athe country of domiciliation of the website!
