   Perfect rental, upgraded my vehicle too! Rented from Thrifty at Newark airport. Was concerned because online reviews weren't good but when I got there 30 minutes early, they were able to get me a vehicle right away. My wait time was 10 minutes, and they upgraded my vehicle from a compact to a SUV without additional fees.

   16 years ago. We tend to use Hertz or Budget. The check in/out process with both companies is very quick and easy (I belong to the Hertz #1 Gold and Budget FastBreak). I've found that all of the car companies have very competitive rates. We got a great discount with Budget for our December trip through Costco.

   Hi folks: Going to Charleston for a five day family vacation and plan to rent a car at the airport. I used Expedia or AAA to get quotes and found Thrifty always gave much lower quote (CAD $400 range) than other more well known companies such as Alamo or Enterprise (CAD $700-800 range).
