   I think Priceline has gotten away from their original sales model. They used to mainly offer blind bidding for potential steep discounts. When I looked at Priceline recently for a car rental their prices were comparable to booking through any other third party or booking direct and most of the listings named the rental car company.

   That rate can be $9.00 - $13.00 extra per day. The rentals are also calculated on 24 hours. Everytime when I read here in the forum about the highrising prices for rental cars I look it up at the german website "billiger-mietwagen,de", and everytime I can see that there the prices are near to normal.

However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    An express deal for $192 for 8 days of an economy car rental. Company revealed after purchasing, but guaranteed to be one of six. Other deals are at least twice that much if not more so it seems to good to be true.

   I would also recommend using Discount Hawaii car rental - they are the best for Hawaii!. However, I can tell you because I use hotwire frequently for other car rentals when traveling to other states, and whether you are charged for the additional driver varies from state to state, rather than car company.
