I'd take a close look at one in a store. If you don't see that statement, I'd jot down the Customer Service number and call before you buy one.

Hi Amber, We need a valid credit card to reserve a room. The name on the card must match the photo identification at check in. However, you can pay with a Visa gift card upon arrival at the hotel or at check out, but know the credit card with your name on it will be authorized for your stay if you choose to pay at check out.

Most. Reddit card gift cards do not work out side of the US. The other issue cane using the whole amount at a restaurant. The CC companies will save some for the tip when a restaurant runs the card. Don’t count on the gift cards working outside the US. And you usually can’t apply the balance to your own account.
