So both bookings were made through Expedia and one was cancelled directly by BA.
The site blocked the US credit card, instead wanted me to reach out to their US counterpart (that too thru email) to process the payment. Now the US office sent me the price which is in US dollars (that's fine) but ~$180 higher than the price that I was getting in the airlink website.

Re: British Airways check-in: e-ticket / credit card matching ?? 18 years ago. Another suggestion is to join the BA Executive Club and attach the ticket to your booking. The only ID you need to check in at the airport machines is the Executive Club card. Second suggestion - if possible check in online and print out your boarding pass.
