This was our first visit to a tea growing region, plantation and factory. This region of Sri Lanka is spectacular and beautiful and the tea plantations are a lovely site, including the Damro one. Not a famous brand, but the majority of their tea product is sold into the wholesale market, with the rest sold as own brand on site.
Biggest regret as Sri Lanka are filled with many nice places and people. Damro staff are more interested in selling than service. In Dec 2019 before the onset of Covid19, I was personally guided around the tea plantation by a fair local girl that gave me the impression very blankly that she did NOT want to be there at all.
