    Drive-on/drive-off also requires a reservation for some later date. You give your car to the Steamship folks in Hyannis, and then head over to Nantucket carless. Your vehicle will follow whenever there's standby space. If helpful, I just brought an unaccompanied jeep over. Really easy. Made it on a ferry approx 24 hours after we dropped off.

    There are parking lots and you can carry your things over the dunes and be right there on the beach. If you want to drive on the beach, go way down past Jamaica, Sea Isle, Isla Del Sol and look for the water tower on the left before Point West.
