The airport and the weather are insignificant in making your plans. Contrary to what many believe, Denver is not in the mountains and thus not really affected so much by snow storms in the mountains. It is a major airport, just like LA or NY, it is open all the time. There might be brief closures or delays in case of a large thunderstorm in ...

  4. 45 min layover at DEN on United. Is that enough time?

    www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g33388-i253-k...

If you're using the same airline 45 minutes between gate to gate is adequate & probably not a concourse switch but assuming your first flight arrives on time or no delays on the tarmac. If you're flight is late that airline is responsible for reconnecting you. If you have a choice for a longer layover it's a safer bet.

    www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g33388-i253-k...

March is historically the snowiest month of the year for Denver. It is the 4th snowiest month for Chicago. Of course, things other than weather contribute to delays and cancellations. If you look at travel and news articles about airport delays in the United States, Denver International usually ranks a little better than Chicago O'Hare.

February is one of the low precipitation months in Denver. February is usually sunny and cold. However, there is always the chance of a freak blizzard. But DIA can handle bad weather better than many airports. This question was recently also asked in September about Christmas time, and this is what I posted then:
