My recommendation would be to use a reputable full service (bricks and mortar) travel agent, not an online booker, even Expedia. The only country/region where I’m familiar with full service agents is Europe, especially the UK. Others will be familiar with other regions. If I search for a multi city trip on Google flight, one option presented works well with fares and times, however, it mentions that the 2 flights must be booked separately (one after the other) (AA and Delta). When I go to the relevant airlines' sites, it gives me this option.

On the KLM website you need to change the dates day by day manually every time you want to check a price for multi-city, you can't have a calendar view unfortunately. It's the same for Turkish Airlines website. I wanted a website like Google Flights to be able to compare Turkish Airlines and KLM simultaneously by checking for 12,13 or 14 days ...

Under where you enter your departing flight date is a little box you need to check 'I only need a hotel for part of my trip'.
