Yesterday as we were driving back from hubby running on the West Side early morning - we noticed it looked like the new Long's Drugs was open - in fact they had just had their blessing with Lady Ipo and so we decided to check it out.

Long’s Is a fantastic throwback to the 50’s/60’s drugstore. They have the pharmacy and minimal shopping isles, but the food is the reason to visit! Old-fashioned lunch counter (and a medium-sized seating area), burgers, sandwiches, breakfast, real cherry (or vanilla) cokes, handmade milkshakes...all delicious.
Re: Closest walgreens to lewers st. 10 years ago. The whalgreens on makaloa has been torn down and will be replaced with a bigger and newer store. Have no idea when they will be done, but it's at least 6 months away from opening. The closest whalgreens to wakiki is the old Safeway grocery story at 1121 S. beretania st. $20 cab.
