We had to chase them to open it again. They been extremely blasé about the entire incident with an email showing the signed receipt (der!!!!) confirming "you paid, bad luck".

    Hertz Mexico is a very unprofessional organization. I verbally declined all additional insurances, upgrades or anything from the basic rental multiple times. However, they added insurance and upgrades last second and ask me to sign pretending it was what we originally agreed. I read their Google reviews and this happens every day to tourists.
