Most tea houses I have been to serve the tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts on a 3 tiered tray. The Talking Teavup serves it in courses. First you choose your tea. It comes in a nice pot that holds approx 3 cups of tea. Next are the 2 scones per person. Next is the soup or salad. Next are the tea sandwiches and the last course are the desserts.
Seating is close and understand that with every seat filled, things might get louder than desired but never found this a stumbling block. My first time there, I was smitten! Quaint, china laden, surroundings. Loved the fun of several small courses served. First Tea, then little initial tea biscuits, then soup, then tea sandwiches, then dessert.

What a fabulously quirky place. We sat outside as it was a hot and sunny afternoon. Great place to watch the world go by and a lovely view of the 617 memorial. Tea arrived in a lovely willow pattern pot with matching milk jug and cups and saucers. Delicious tea and enough for 2 cups. Will certainly be going back.
