The optional insurances that Enterprise will offer you, are for damage to the rental vehicle and personal accident and effects coverage.

Standard practice in Canada and U.S. is no insurance coverage (except 3rd party liability as defined by the jurisdiction the car is licensed in). My sister used to buy Amex, maybe still does, but car rental is only in an annual :("prestige") package. Allianz appears to offer a car rental insurance plan.
Looking for some thoughts, concerns and tips for car rentals in Western Canada. My girlfriend and I are looking to rent a car in western Canada and have started scoping out prices. From all websites I have checked, Enterprise Car Rentals is well and truly the cheapest (by several thousand dollars!) Problem is, cheapest doesn't equal the best.
Sadly, it's rather common for large organizations like major car rental agencies, hotels and airlines, to have call centers with agents who don't know enough to answer many customer questions, particularly when the call centres are handling requests for multiple countries with different rules and regulations.
We rented from Enterprise at their airport location. Service was amazing. We booked several months in advance. No other car rental agency could beat Enterprise's rates. When we arrived at the airport, they automatically upgraded us to an SUV, no extra charge, when they saw my husband's mountain bike would not fit into the one we had reserved.
