Thanks guys, appreciate the responses. Dollar has a note in the small print saying that IF you are in a state that has tolls, they recommend using a Plate Pass. Being from NY, I know a lot about tolls and I definitely would not want to have to pay cash at the toll booth, the lines are crazy if you dont have a pass. 4.
Just a heads up. HERTZ has "platepass" for Tolls. I opted out and used my own ezpass. However I still got charged by this 3rd party money making scham. It's been 3 weeks dealing directly with platepass and still not resolved. Even after I provided my detailed EZPass statement.
Re: Hertz Plate Pass now charges only for the days actually used. 5 years ago. Update now: Hertz $5.95 fee for each calendar day when tolls are incurred plus tolls (at posted cash/TOLL-BY-PLATE rates). There is no maximum PlatePass convenience fee. Dollar and Thrifty US$ 10,49 flat fee per day.
