Answer 1 of 8: We've been buying our gift cards for Disney trips at Target for a few years with no problems. The other week I bought $1000.00 worth and when I tried to transfer on line to one card, two of the $100 cards didn't work.

Then the night before you check out you take the gift cards down and pay off your room charges. Click "My Reservations & Tickets". 3. Under "Resort Hotel Reservation", see "Remaining Balance". 4. Next to "Remaining Balance" click "Make a Payment". 5. Under "Payment", click "Disney Gift Card" and follow steps. Important note: the on-line system will only accept ONE gift card per transaction.
We have used the gift cards for our tips when on the dining plan, shops, restaurants, etc. Never a problem. Alot of places told you the balance on the gift card after you used it. We have never used room charging, easier to use a gift card. Also if using a credit/debit card to shop at the stores they have asked for I.D.
6 years ago. You can pay off your magic band account with your gift cards. Take them to the front desk and they will apply them to your account. Just make sure you do it before midnight the night before you check out or they will automatically charge your credit card on file.

And no, as I said in original comment, we are going to Target on our arrival day, for beer, water, snacks etc. I was aware that you can pay with gifts cards, didn’t realise you need a Target red card.
If I'm staying on property I'll just use it towards my room and charge things back to the room. If I'm not, I'll use it throughout the parks. For example during Food & Wine Festival you can use it just like a gift card at all the booths. After using it in the parks it prints the balance on the receipt.
