Even on the Sixt site for FLL, they say themselves that they are located 3 miles "offsite". Seems you would have a pretty good case.

   This area is beautiful with the street area full of restaurants,bars and trendy boutiques.Just be careful about parking .We encountered and saw one parking lot at the corner of Cortez Street and Fort Lauderdale Blvd.charging as high as $40 flat rate for parking on July 6 which is quite an insult to one's intelligence..There are many places to park though all over the place with very fair rates ...
