The Parking Spot lots are fenced, roofed, and staffed 24/7. Hotel lots are wide open and people are around when they're around. It depends upon how much that difference in $ (if there is a difference--did you see if there's a coupon?) means to you versus whatever damage might occur to your car due to weather and vandalism.
Also, check out the Parking Spot (3 locations at DFW), as they do have coupons offered at times. Note that the PS also has covered parking, and the lot is monitored by the staff round-the-clock. Terminal E is the worst one for terminal parking because that garage has not been remodeled and enlarged like the ones at the other terminals. If you drive a pickup truck, forget about using that garage because your truck will barely fit!

You can make a reservation online (they only allow 50 reservations per day) and they also have coupons on the website. There have been a couple of complaints regarding unexpected costs, and the website reservation will tell you what the total cost should be. Print a copy of that and take it to the airport with you, if you decide to use this lot.
