   I rented a premium SUV - Suburban or similar, from Thrifty LAX airport. Rented online and prepaid for the rental for 10 days rental. Upon arriving at the rental office, lines were long, we waited over 1 hr to get to the desk.

   Thrifty garage was easy to find, just on the main street near the airport. Shuttle bus service was regular (15-20 min rotation) and went direct to the terminals. There are 7 terminals at LAX, so it can take a few minutes to drop/pick up passengers, but driver was helpful and assisted with our baggage.

Having paid £290 in advance for an all inclusive 16 day mid-sized rental I was told by the agent at the desk that I had to pay an extra $360 before I could take the car.

   This is the worst rental car experience I had since last 15+ yrs. The hertz in front of this had less than 10 people where as this one had may be 100s just because we can’t see all their hidden fees and will feel that we are getting a rental car for pretty cheaper price. Just go with reputed rental car companies to save yourselves please.
