To experience the whole selection of pies you have to get there early – they start serving pie at 10:30 a.m. and typically run out of most flavors by mid-afternoon. Our visit to Rock Creek Lakes Resort was our 2nd. Their cabins are very clean, comfortable beds, and fully stocked with need appliances, cookware, and eating utensils. Exterior decks all have views among beautiful trees with abundant wildlife within view. Rock Creek Lake is just across the street with excellent fishing and boat rentals.

I’ve been fishing Rock Creek Lake for many years, while camping down in French Camp. Even though I have every lure, fly, PowerBait, hooks, weights and anything else to fish for trout, I still like looking at their selection of fishing supplies even rods and reels.
The owners are personable, and work hard to keep the place going. Fishing is a great, and the small store as anything you may have forgotten. Don't miss a slice of the daily homemade pie, at the "Pie in the Sky." $7 a slice, so a bit steep in price, but it was really, really good. Date of stay: July 2012.
