9 years ago. I am mapping out a massive USA Road Trip and had my route drive times on the website: roadtrippers.com. A couple times seems 'long' to me so I went to google maps & all times were significantly shorter (yippee!). Went to mapquest.com & times were similar to Google Maps BU each leg of trip was 15-30 minutes longer on mapquest.

We're new to the Twin Cities, having lived near Madison, WI. I'm looking at driving to Florida. In looking at the Mapquest and Gglmaps to Florida. Both routing engines use I35S and then about 410 miles of state road in Iowa, connecting eventually to I-64 and I-57. Is that really quicker than I-94 to Madison, and I-39 South to I-57???
Follow 25E for 90 miles to Morristown, TN . Take exit 1A to I-81 South for 7 miles . Exit to I-40 East 75 miles. then I-26 toward Spartanburg/Columbia. I-20 to Florence. I-95 North to exit 170 and take a right to Hwy 76 which takes you to 501 (about 10 miles) Jumping on 95 allows you to bypass some of the stop and go traffic in Florence.
That is also the route that mapquest and google maps recommends. Someone suggested that if I want to avoid 2 lane highways altogether, I could go from Columbia, to Florence, to Conway, and then make my way down to Pawleys Island from the north. It looks to be about 10-15 miles farther and just a few minutes longer.
Hit up Yahoo Maps to find the dopest route. Some prefer Mapquest, that's a good one, too. Google Maps is the best. True that. DOUBLE TRUE. In case you didn't notice how clever I was, use viamichelin.com, the standard for Europe.
- South on Rt. 501 for 22 miles to Rowland to Interstate 95 - I95 South for 6 miles to Dillon, South Carolina to Exit #193 - East on Rt 9 for 2 miles - South on Rt 301 for 8 miles - South on Rt 501 for about 25 miles towards Conway, and then get off on Conway Bypass (Rt 22 East) and then it is about 30 miles to Myrtle Beach.
