For example, the traditional Vietnamese name (Last Middle First) “Tran Van Nam” becomes “Tran, Nam Van” in a U.S. passport (Last, First Middle).
Simply because Bamboo have terminated flying from Gatwick to Vietnam from end of October i.e. about now is their last flight. They haven't announced any plans of when they might, if ever, resume such flights .
Vietjet is an LCC (quite good) but Bamboo & Vietnam Air are regular full fare carriers. I'm using Bamboo domestic flights myself for the first time next month since I believe they are quite good. The only carrier I do not recommend in VN is Pacific Airlines (owned by Vietnam Air and state owned).
I was flying with my husband and 2 children, and they could only offer us middle and aisle seats behind each other. When we got to the gate, they revised it and managed to get us 3 together and one in the middle section on the row behind, but next time I would have paid the extra (I think it was about £50 total) to book direct with the airline.
