Visiting Portland Need Help. May 21, 2024, 8:03 PM. Hi all, We will be driving from Boston on July2 heading to Portland. This will be our 1st time so not sure where there is a must stop and explore place. We will drive thru the scenic coastal town prob starting from York to Portland. Any suggestions on this trip.

There is on-street parking, some of which is pay at a kiosk, some of which still has meters and some in the more residential neighborhoods are free (but hard to find). There are city-owned garages which charge $3/hour with a max of $28 for the day.
