Any airline we used anywhere, incl. 3-4 different ones we used for flights to CR, required 3 hrs on departure for international flights.Our worst experience on departure from SJO was late morning, mid week, rain/low season, when we booked an airport transfer from a hotel near the airport for 4 hrs before our flight departure time.
