19 years ago. Yes, the sling looks like a backback, but with one big, thick, padded strap that goes across the body. Funny, it looks smaller, but according to the tags, it has more cubic space than the messenger bags. They are made by Jansport, so they should be sturdy, too.

The best would be something that lies somewhat flat to your body, is carried in front of you so you can lay your hand over it as need by, and is on long strap that can be worn cross-body.

I am contemplating buying cross body, anti-theft, messenger style bag for our Italy trip. I am torn between Pacsafe, Travelon & Rick Steves' bags in similar designs. Amazon reviews for first 2 are almost similar & not many reviews around for Rick Steves. Can anyone please share positive or negative experience if they have used one or all of these?
