Thousands of people have good experiences every day renting their cars ... but 99% of review writers are the vast minority who have a bad experience.
COOL_16, go to costco.com and click "travel", then "rental cars". It works the same way as if booking through Expedia, Travelocity or any other travel site. If the OP does not have a Costco membership, it's often worth buying one ($60) for the rental car savings alone. 9.
A few notes about my recent Enterprise rental from Quebec St and Denver airport. The car, a standard, was $240 less than at the airport, so it was a no brainer to make our way there and back on our own for that difference. There are NO airport shuttles from any hotel or car rental office in that area.
