On the KLM website you need to change the dates day by day manually every time you want to check a price for multi-city, you can't have a calendar view unfortunately. Sometimes, as OP found, the individual "separate" tickets are not actually bookable on the airline websites at the listed prices.

Other airlines allow you to book this on one ticket. If you have to cancel, you are paying a fee to cancel one ticket not two or more separate ones.
