Our experiences with Budget at the Las Vegas airport have been consistently disappointing, especially in terms of customer service. On February 16 around 11:30 PM, a Fastbreak staff member was rude to customers inquiring about vehicle status, even resorting to contacting security when politely asked to de-escalate.

Had to go that route vs another car rental company, and it was the only way to resolve the issue at hand despite being a “status” member of their network.
We have not encountered similar customer service issues with other rental car agencies at the Las Vegas airport. We advise avoiding Budget for Las Vegas rentals. If you choose to use Budget, we highly recommend having a backup reservation with another rental car company in case of similar incidents. Read more. Visited February 2024.

You might try complaining on Budget's own social media pages - out of the glare of the public eye budget customer service tries to give you the runaround. They seem to respond more quickly and appropriately to comments/complaints left on facebook and on the BBB site.
The Budget office was closed and Avis was managing Budget's rental cars at the Denver Airport. There were three to four people working at the counter and more than 500 people waiting. The indoor area was over-crowded leaving hundreds of people exposed to COVID-19, elderly people were falling down and children and adults were crying.
