It certainly looks like the drop fees for rentals BWI- Boston are very high. If you aren't concerned with seeing any sights south of New Haven, another option would be to take Amtrak from BWI-New Haven (as low as $55 when booked in advance) and rent a car from there, looks to be quite a bit cheaper.

Forum. Best of. Answer 1 of 3: If you choose to go to BWI airport and need a car, be prepared to take up to any extra hour to pick up and drop off the car. The car rental facility is far from the airport and the shuttles are infrequent and crowded. Not a pleasant experience.

Free shuttle buses from this station to the BWI Airport terminals operate daily every 6-8 minutes (every 25 minutes 1:00 am - 5:00 am). Buses stop adjacent to the rail station garage directly across from the station building. Reply.
