When I got to the rental counter after an hour standing in line, the agent could not find any reservation for me.

However time pressures sometimes means it’s easier to see the sort of prices on offer on an aggregator site rather than traveling through each supplier individually. I’ve learned a lesson though.    An express deal for $192 for 8 days of an economy car rental. Company revealed after purchasing, but guaranteed to be one of six. Other deals are at least twice that much if not more so it seems to good to be true.

   I have done that on occasions when I have rented from smaller off airport rental locations. Off hand I recall calling a Hertz location in downtown Miami where I was scheduled to drop a car pre cruise. The website indicated a shuttle to the cruise port would be provided and I called the location to verify because I don't like surprises.
