Facebook post from Caltrans District 1: Beginning Thursday, Sept. 14, U.S. 199 in Del Norte County will be fully closed from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. The roadway will open to one-way controlled traffic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
FYI, the Caltrans road conditions listings still show Hwy 120, Tioga Pass, as “closed due to snow” – not “closed for the winter.” Currently open with no restrictions: Hwys 4 (Ebbetts Pass), 88 (Carson Pass), 89 (Monitor Pass), and 108 (Sonora Pass).
