    i never wear contacts on long-haul flights. i sleep well on planes and as i usually give my eyes a rest and wear glasses a couple of days a week, i just make a long-haul travel day one of those days. especially since opti-free brand solution still annoyingly seems to come in only 120ml bottles (and i have checked in other countries i travel to, all the same).

    When I first started wearing them I was unaware of this but, if you put water in your eyes while wearing contacts, your eyes will get VERY dry and the contacts stick to your eyballs, which is very painful. Also if you store them in water, your MUST clean them with solution before putting back in your eyes. Yes, bacteria in tap water=eye infection.
