I’ve found Google Maps to be very reliable in France. The “offline” feature works really well if you don’t have data coverage. I don’t drive in France myself but I spend a lot of time in the passenger seat beside a professional who does, and his go-to app is Google plus a paper Michelin atlas.
Re: Google Maps in taipei. 6 years ago. some possible reasons: 1.Train Type. Airport Metro commute train and express train. The default option is "Leave now". The answer would be different for the same route if you query at different time. 2. Taipei Main Station is a Large infrastruction.
