5. Re: Hertz Gold membership question. 6 years ago. No, you need to have the GR number on the reservation to qualify for the service, which basically means they pre- allocate a car to you which you can just go to the garage and drive off in, depending on the location arrangements.
It was around $240.00 a day, which is expensive, yes but you are guaranteed the 4wd or AWD you select. On the Enterprise website for Denver airport, you can select a Ford Edge AWD for $156.00 per day. But this is not guaranteed, or I haven't figured out how to ensure you get what you rent from a major car rental company.

I used the spot rate for conversion. There was a 16% tax, a 19% concession fee, a 6% license fee, and a $6.00 service charge. The concession, license fee and service charge were calculated correctly (but based on the higher price) but the tax was $8.88 higher than the 16% tax rate indicated would be.
I feel your "pain" but it may not work to continue to contact the place you ended up renting from. Some Hertz locations are just that - painful to deal with. Others are nicer. Hertz 800 number is 1 (800) 654-4173 so you might want to see if they can direct you to someone who is not at the location you rented from.
The customer service rep said that I was charged for emergency road service. Now, I never asked for emergency road service, but I was pissed to know that Hertz was charging for the service that I paid for, but they didn't answer the phone. Truly, I could have been stranded on the side of a road and nobody answer the phone.
Answer 11 of 19: I sent Hertz at Denver International Airport an e-mail inquiry about a charge that was added to my bill upon my returning it. To date - 2+ weeks later - I have not yet gotten a reply.
