There is no mention of a charge for a 65+ driver. I called them and got the same information. I think there is some misunderstanding here.

I have a booking starting 18th July and I emailed them with the code and my booking reference number. They modified the booking and initiated a refund of the discount amount in no time.
Secondly, the rental companies have reduced their fleets, and third, airport taxes and fees seemed to skyrocket (roughly 1/3 of my rental bill from LAX is for taxes and fees) If there's any way you can rent off-airport you'll save a lot. For car rental coupons, just google "car rental coupons" and you'll get all the discount codes
Of the different companies to choose from, don't bother with Fox Car Rental. They get you in the door with their cheaper rates but somehow the prices skyrocket upon return. I should've trusted reviews but didn't, and got burned a couple of months ago. Edited: 14 years ago
