But since 2018, they’ve renamed the parent company, to Booking Holdings, and now operate Priceline as one of their brands. As such, they share backend operating systems, data and inventory.
Hertz could not match the reservation on my membership number as there was no reservation. The reason for using a 3rd party was time pressure. Didn’t have time to go through easy provider individually & whilst on the road wasn’t able to (even if I had thought of it) call hertz direct to check - which would kind of defeated the whole point ...
I was still charge and had to spend a lot of time to get my money back. This last time I called to let the hotel know I would be a late check in. They couldn't find my reservation because Priceline gave me the wrong confirmation number. I had to spend an hour on the phone, during my vacation, to get it fixed and confirmed.
1. Re: Paid Priceline Non Refundable/Hotel Emails for Payment. As you say I guess it could be that Priceline have yet to process the CC information, or at least provide a VCC to the hotel. Or, that the hotel have not looked at the reservation properly and not seen the payment attached as a virtual credit card number.
