3 years ago. Kirk, you did not rent a car from Priceline, you rented from a rental company and had Priceline book it. That means you are held to the terms you agreed to with both companies. You are not entitled automatically to a refund because you had personal things go wrong.
Yesterday morning I booked a car rental from Priceline. I took a $40 Uber ride to find out that the Hertz location was closed on the weekends. I get it, there have been a lot of changes due to covid but it has been going on for months and they really should be verifying that the places they book reservations for are open before confirming reservations.

Depending on where you are flying I actually like Southwest airlines rental car portal for the way they lay out the prices.
